From the Publisher
Like all online marketing, there is the right way and the wrong way to do it. This month we feature Email marketing under the expert guidance of DEB DAUFELT, Founder and President of Second Story Solutions. Deb has a monthly column in the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association Direct Line and she has provided Advertising & Marketing Review with three of her recent columns. Our thanks to her and RMDMA for letting us publish her great advice.
The March issue will be online only, no printed version, and can be found at www.ad-mkt-reviw.com. Please pass along the word to those that may be waiting for the hard copy to arrive in the mail. It is our intent to be back with both the online and printed versions in April. On that same note, I now have a blog (coloamreviw.blogspot.com) and the first question on the blog is whether you prefer to have the magazine online, hard copy or both. Feel free to give me your thoughts.
A note to all members of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP): March 10 is the deadline to enter the 10 Photos to be Remembered By for the show at the Press Club on March 19. Several of the best images from this show will also be in the 18th ASMP Photo Annual in the May issue of Advertising & Marketing Review. For details on how to enter, go to
www.asmpcolorado.org.
There are several great events coming up that you don't want to miss. The Daniels School of Business at DU Marketing Roundtable on March 4 features LAURA SONDERUP, Managing Director of Hispanidad speaking on The Growing and Influential Hispanic Segment. To learn the ins and outs of reaching this growing market register for the event online at http://daniels.du.edu/marketingroundtable.
On Thursday, March 18, the Art Directors Club of Denver will hold their Annual Paper Fashion Show at Mile High Station, 2027 W. Colfax. Teams enter and create the most amazing paper fashions, then walk the runway to show them off. It's great fun and very impressive. Make your reservation at www.adcd.com.
The Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association will celebrate their 29th Anniversary with a Bowling party at the Lucky Strike Lanes in Belmar (Wadsworth & Alameda) from 5:30-8:30PM on Wednesday, March 24. The event is open to all including friends and family and includes bowling shoes and bowling, appetizers, pizza and soft drinks. Make your reservations for this event at www.rmdma.org.
RMDMA is also in the process of selling a limited number of booths and sponsorships for their Annual DM Day on May 19. The Many Faces of Direct Marketing is the theme this year. As usual, there will be many educational sessions on direct marketing and keynote speakers that are tops in the industry. This is a great chance for companies to expose their products and services to the direct marketing community. For booth and sponsorship information, contact MARY SHAW at mshaw@rmdma.org.
See you in April when we feature some amazing data that will let marketers zero in on prospects, all provided by Acxiom, the folks that make information
intelligent.
